Hello there and welcome to Linux S2O and in this video guide I am gonna show you the best
0:09
cursor icon pack that you can find for Linux on the internet. We have got 1,2,3,4,5 icon
0:16
packs and an RGB icon pack as well. So I am not gonna tell you why you should use this icon pack
0:23
or that icon pack that is on you to decide and later in the video I am gonna show you how you
0:29
you can download these packs and how you can set them up in your favorite link distribution
0:34
So without further ado let's get started. So the very first icon pack we have is a Lyan Cursors and this is how it looks like
0:50
in multiple linear color options. Second in the list is Material Cursors Comes with three different variants material dark and light
1:10
another one is Oreo cursors and they have literally thought out of the box by
1:17
encompassing the different states of a cursor inside the cursor itself so this
1:23
is amazing as well of course it comes with multiple color options
1:30
Another one is aesthetically designed cursor icon pack and you guessed it macOS Mojave
1:36
Cursors comes with dark and light color option which is an illusion because the icons are
1:42
same they just look differently. Lastly, we have a Bibata icon pack and this is my personal favorite because you probably
1:50
have seen this icon pack in my videos this is what I use and it is available in bunch
1:57
of options so you can try them all. So these were the top five icon packs that you can get for a link distribution
2:05
Now you must be waiting for the source stopper RGB icon pack and this is again the Vivata but it has this rainbow edition and these cursor icons change their color as you move
2:18
them around. Let me just show you how it looks like in real life
2:23
But before that let me show you how you can download these icon packs and set them up
2:28
in your distribution. So you will find the links in the description. So after downloading the icon pack you will get it like this
2:35
So this is the Bibata modern rainbow and I'm just going to extract it here
2:41
So this is the extracted folder. I'm just going to cut this folder from here and going to paste
2:47
this folder into the icons folder and that folder is hidden. So press Ctrl H this will show all the
2:53
hidden folders. You want to look for dot icons folder. So this is the icons folder. If you do
2:59
not have this particular folder in your distribution, simply create one with a dot. So dot icons
3:05
Open the folder and paste the icon pack in here. Now what you wanna do you wanna use a utility tool called gnome tweaks If you are using Gnome desktop environment if you are using any other desktop environment like Cinnamon XFCE Mate Deepin any of these desktop environments then you do not have to install
3:25
any further tool. You just go into the settings and change the icon packs from there. But if you
3:33
are using Gnome, then you have to install a tool called Gnome Tweaks. You can watch out this video
3:38
to install it in your distribution. So simply open it up and go to the appearance section
3:47
From here you will find this cursor option here. Simply click on the list and choose the install icon pack
3:54
So this is the Vivata Modern Rainbow. Now you can see the color of the cursor is changing
4:01
It's like RGB illusion
